"The Emerging Artists Forum (EAF), a subset of
IDEA, was established in November 2003 to nurture
the future of Indian Dance in the DC metro area.
The members of EAF are required to be between
18 and 30 years of age. Membership for EAF is
$50/- a calendar year.
Its
mission is to give local young artists a chance
to cultivate and build upon the traditions of
Indian classical dance, by providing an open forum
in which they can network, learn from each other,
and work and perform together. The organization
will expand the world of Indian classical dance
by encouraging new ideas and concepts. EAF intends
to hold regular lecture demonstration sessions,
panel discussions, and invite and interact with
visiting artists from India and around the U.S."
