Dear Dancers,

IDEA is accepting proposals from area dance schools for its upcoming program, Katha: Tales from India, which will be held on November 22, 2008 at the Gunston Theatre in Arlington, Virginia. The program will feature group presentations of stories from Indian mythology or folklore.

The objective of the program is to present a professionally produced showcase of area dance schools to both Indian and non-Indian audiences. The program will also help develop new audiences and cross-pollinate audiences as each dance school would draw from their own constituents.

Attached please find further information, guidelines and an application form. Proposals are due August 30, 2008. Completed applications should be emailed to Sukanya Mukherji , project coordinator for the program. We encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

IDEA Board of Directors
