Pooja Bhatt is a student of world renowned kathak maestro Pandit Chitresh Das and the director of the Metro DC branch of the Chhandam School of Kathak Dance started in May 2007. She moved to the DC area about a year ago from San Francisco. She has performed all over the San Francisco Bay Area, a few times in the DC area and toured with Chitreshji in north and south India. Her goal is to provide support in the education, promotion and preservation of the highest caliber of Indian classical arts in the Metro DC area.
