Sudha Radhakrishnan

Sudha started learning BharathaNatyam under Padmashri Adyar K. Lakshman and then joined the world-renowned institution Kalakshetra and completed her four-year Diploma in BharathaNatyam. She has also learnt BharathaNatyam under Sri. Balagopalan, abhinaya from Smt. Bragha Bessel, and folk dance from Smt. Ambika Buch. She has given performances for Jayamangala and the World Bank in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area; she has also given performances in India for Mylapore Fine Arts, Vasanthothsavam at Marundheeshwarar Temple, Chennai, Osmania University, Hyderabad, and Noida Ayyappa Sangam, Delhi. She has also performed at Bangkok and Reunion Islands (Mauritius) as a member of the Kalakshetra troupe. She has taught BharathaNatyam for beginners and advanced-level students at Bharatha Choodamani (Founder Padmasri Adyar K. Lakshman), Chennai and at Anthara – School for Music and Dance (Founder Smt. Sreelatha Vinodh), Chennai. Currently, she is teaching BharathaNatyam at Jayamangala (in Maryland) and at the India International School (in Virginia).
