that gives a holistic and comprehensive overview of the temple
art form Bharatanatyam. Bharatanatyam is an ancient
timeless Classical Dance style from southern India which encompasses dance,
music, language, mathematics, religion, and spirituality. Produced
locally in Maryland with funding from Prince George's Arts Council in 2001,
this film has been scripted and directed byShobha Subramanian with
assistance from Jayamangala dancers/musicians and Image-in-asian
television. The film was screened at the 17th World Congress
for Dance Research in Greece in Oct. 2003. The film is a must-see
for all.
